Genuine Genetics is a bovine embryo recovery, embryo transfer and artificial insemination center located in Seguin, Texas, offering superior care and breeding for cattle.
Vicki owns and operates Brehm Farms in San Antonio, Texas along with husband Gene. Brehm Farms was established in 1994 and is a purebred cattle operation raising Limousin, LimFlex and Angus cattle. Brehm Farms has been doing embryo work since 1996 at which time Vicki met Russell Cable who was the manager at Bovagen Embryo Center operating at the same location that is now Genuine Genetics.
Vicki graduated from UTSA in 1994 with a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration. Gene and Vicki have 2 children, Derek & Lauren Brehm and Lindsey & Jeremiah Minarcik. They also have 3 granddaughters and 1 grandson.
Russell was born and raised on a 20,000 acre ranch near Chamberlin, South Dakota. His family was the 97th member of the North American Limousin Foundation and was early pioneers in development of Limousin cattle in the United States. Russell worked for Symens Brothers Ranch in South Dakota and Express Ranches in Oklahoma before relocating in Seguin, Texas in 1994 to set up operation of Bovagen Embryo Center owned by Dr. Boyd Bien of Park City, SD. Russell has been doing artificial insemination for over 40 years and operating and managing the location in Seguin for over 21 years.
Russell lives in Seguin. He has 4 children and 11 grandchildren.
About The Ranch
In 2012 the property at 414 Pioneer Road became available and Russell and Vicki teamed up to purchase the property. In addition to being home to Bovagen Embryo Center, Knight Feed Lot was located on the approximately 55 acres just north of IH10 on Pioneer Road. The property now is devoted to Genuine Genetics. Russell is the managing partner and Vicki takes care of the finances.
